Valentine's Day Parties:
If your child wants to hand out valentines cards, they do not have to put classmates names on the cards. It makes it easier to hand out since we do not have a lot of time at the party. Thank you

Hello Parents,

January is a busy month of learning.
Here are the skills introduced:
Math: Place Value
Time
Money
3-D Shapes
Temperature

These past few days have opened up a lot of discussion about temperature.
One way to help your child with money – a suggestion- take out the change you have in your pocket and ask her or him to identify the coins and how much each coin is worth.

Reading skills: Sight words
Long Vowels (Intro)
Predicting
Tell the story beginning, middle, and end
Demonstrate how to decode words: Look at pictures, say each letter, look for a
word inside a word, and sound it out. If that doesn’t work, skip it and continue
reading and then go back and try again.

Student Reminders: We will go out for recess any time the temp is above 20. Please make sure to you have your gloves, boots, hat, and warm coat to wear.
